New caravan TV

We are looking at buying a new TV for the van. It needs to be 12v, we have looked at to avtex 21" but wow £400+ for a portable tv.

Has anybody got one of the new Vision Plus televisions, looking at a 21.5" at a more respectable £279, it looks like it has the same bits and bobs as the Avtex, freeview, HD, freesat all built in, dvd player and the facility of recording onto a memory stick

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

Recording not needed, but freesat would be an advantage as it would save taking the machine from home if built in.

    We purchased a 21''' 12 Volt to with DVDs player form Aldis for £100 with a 3 year guarantee and it us great. Unfortunately they don't come up for sale very often.

    We bought a Cello 22" with f/v dvd freesat with Hd & with PVR for around £199. 

    Not bad tv and never had problem in 4 years.

    We acquired an Avtex with our van but only ever used it at home.  I have to say that it is an excellent product and it is no surprise that it is fitted as standard in many vans. If we were taking it away we would only ever use it on mains as the battery consumption can be quite high. 

    You pay a lot for 12 volts. Obviously, if you are going to be on EHU then you could buy a standard small high quality mains TV quite reasonably.

    Thanks for all the replies, we bought a vision plus 21.5" on Sunday, looked at avtex v vision plus both on display not really any difference but over £100 difference.

    Set it up yesterday and well chuffed great picture and sound not too bad
