As anyone out there ever replaced windows?  I need a new central window for our Elddis Crusader Aurura.  The Elddis website do not let you order from them and I am struggling to find an outlet locally to order them. I am based in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Can anyone help please.  Many thanks

Why do you need to replace the window? What is wrong with it?

Apparently the windows have rubbed together when being towed and has left a large triangle mark on both sides of the sealed unit.  I have since been informed that Elddis have since continued these windows!  Maybe a large vase of flowers will hide the damage?

Disconnect the window stay attachment by finding the small hole in the black plastic moulding where it connects to the window by pushing a thin nail or similar into it and sliding the fitting apart. Outside the caravan, the top of the window fits into an aluminium channel, similar to an awning rail. The window slides out sideways. There will probably be a rubber insert at the end of the channel to prevent the window moving on its own, this needs to be pushed out first. It may be necessary to remove a side window first if it's blocking the central window from sliding sideways. It may also be necessary to fully open the window, way beyond what the stay would have allowed, to unscrew the hinge rail which is also held in place with non setting mastic. The job is actually not too difficult. Matching the tint of your other windows is normally difficult.

We had a replacement window made by Eco (link above). They will do a 'collect and deliver' service - collecting your window which they use as a 'template' and delivering a replacement when the new window is made, or you can take out the window and take it
yourself to their workshop in Shelf, Halifax.

Eco will tint the window to match the others on the van and we thought they did a very good job at a lot less than our dealer quoted us for a replacement.
