Displeasure with Milenco Levellers
Recently purchased Milenco Quattro levelling blocks and on a recent solo trip to the Kendal site I accidentaly over shot the blocks, which resulted in the front of boths blocks shattering. This left the front end of the blocks with sharp jagged points. In
raising this point with Milenco I got the following response.
"Further to your email I can advise that we do sell numerous amounts of this item each year and we do not have a issue with them at all.
The reason as to why this has happened like you said was because you accidently went over the top.
However these are designed to shatter if you do go over the top so that damage doesn't occur to your motorhome.
I hope that this makes sense and this is not a fault with the item this is how it is designed." The reason for this post is that it makes no sense to me and to seek a
wider view. Is this explanation plausible or am I being fed a load of guff and being given a brush off. Whatever 50 pounds worth of leveling blocks going in the bin.

They say the blocks are not supposed to be over-run and if they are tall enough and didn't crush, you would have landed the sills on the blocks causing extensive damage to the vehicle which would cost a lot more to repair?
I'm saying that you probably need to put it down to experience?

In my limited experience of motorhoming I would say getting up on any sort of block is not an exact science!! I had the same experience as the OP, although I did put it down to experience! When you go over the top the ramp flips back up onto the chassis.
The reality is that they are not long enough and certainly need to be more substantually made. I have reverted to scaffold planks cut to size which I can layer on top of each other if required. Another problem with all sloping ramps is the creep factor.David

We use Milenco blocks after our previous "bargain" blocks gave way under the wheels. Recently OH left some chocks under the wheels and forgot about them, we drove off with quite a bump, it would have been an even bigger bump with the blocks in use. We have
more trouble with levelling blocks than anything else but the Milenco ones have been slightly better.0 -
I bought the triples for the motorhome and used them twice in a month. It isn't that easy to get the vehicle up on them and I can imagine people overrunning. We met about three motorhomers who had broken the Milenco ramps.
