Hi everyone

we are new to owning a motorhome and have so far only used it a couple of times, however we have noticed there are black streaks running down part of the body work, i have cleaned it today and they have become fainter but are still visible.

does anyone have a magic remedy to help remove them?

many thanks for your advice

I usually use a good quality polish.

We often use One Dry Wash on the caravan.  I've always found it removes black streaks.  We tend to use it mainly while we're out and about.

We use Fennicks Black streak remover on our MH, spray it on before washing and it works great. We also had our MH treated With a permanent polish finish so worth while and makes washing easier. Hope this helps

As already said a good polish helps.

I have a waterless wash and wax which works well to remove any black streaks although I always wash the van first with a good vehicle shampoo and use the wash and wax on any stubborn black streaks.

Twice a year I spend a while washing , polishing and then waxing the m/h which makes cleaning easier.

Black streak remover and/or polish as already suggested but a clean roof will will keep them down to a minimum!

If your black door and mirror trims are faded or have polish on them, try using boiled linseed oil. #superresults

Just cleaned my caravan with "Greased Lightning" waterless wash. Black streaks all gone and left a lovely shine

Waterless Wax and Wash from Aldi.

Only £2.99 and it does a great job. Gets all manner of marks off our motorhome.

i realise its nit easy for everyone to get the roof nice and clean but a neglected roof can get filthy wirh all sorts of mouldy stuff lurking up there, just waiting to be washed down onto your lovely 'clean' van....

if difficult, perhaps get it done at service time?
