Hi!

I'm new to caravaning and was wondering the best place to buy foam mats for underneath the awning ground sheet and are they expensive?

I don’t use them as I usually pitch on grass and they would damage the grass, but I know that Aldi and Lidl sell them occasionally.

you have to be careful as most sites insist on letting the grass "breath" but there are quite a few good products on the market. If you are looking for something to make a hard standing a little more comfortable I recommend awning tiles which lock together
like a jigsaw, have a look on Ebay

As previous poster stated - Aldi and Lidl " Occasionly" put them out on offer - I was in Aldi yesterday but there none currently on offer -

I also use " Jacksons of Old Arley " and have bought mine from there before.

Their website is www.jacksonscamping.com and I believe they online sales

They cannot be used on grass pitches as they kill the grass. They are in order on hard standings though.

I bought Kampa brand from my local caravan accessory shop. They come in packs of four.

Aldi are going to have them for sale next Thursday but they shouldn't be used on grass only on hardstanding pitches.

I have looked at these but I have a big awning with a floor area of 6.5m X 2.5m which would need 11 packs of 4 which is very bulky and very expensive. A pack of 4 covers 1.44 sqr metres.
