HI I have a problem with the Thetford Midi Prima the lower pan door that has a push lock  will not open so I am unable to close the gas valves located inside. The door is glass so don't want to force it. Any tips or advice would help thanks.

I can't remember if there is a big enough gap, and our van is in storage. However if you can spray some of the Thetford Silicon  lubricant ( same stuff you use on the toilet cassette seal) so it trickles onto the mechanism, it may free it if you then repeatedly  try and work it. It certainly helps with other locks that keep sticking. WD 40 is also good but makes much more of a mess.

We had the same problem, our catch stuck and we couldn't open the door, we slid a flat knife carefully along the top to open it, then made sure the catch was well greased to stop it happening again.

Yes I also have had this problem in the past and managed to get the door open by sliding some plastic (had to hunt around the site for some) behind the catch. Worked a treat. Plastic needs to be quite thick but still be flexible. Good luck.
