Has anyone purchased the new Power Xtreme Lithium LiFePO4 battery advertised in the latest Caravan Club Magazine?  I believe  the X30 (5.6 kilos!) will power a mover and run the 12 volt system.

Apart form the weight advantage the cost doesn't make them a viable option yet, if they where half the price then it would make a bit more sense. If you manage your lead acid charging properly they can last many years, mine was fitted in 2006 and an ex warranty
starter battery,  you can buy quite a few lead acid batteries for a grand.

No we haven't bought one, but it's useful that you have brought this to our attention. At just 8AH for around £200 it won't be a good choice for off grid users, but its ability to power a motor mover from a lightweight source most certainly could be. like all emerging technology the introductory price may be off-putting for many of us, but it's a solution worth monitoring for future price drops. Thanks.
