Motor mover quandary

correction Tinw I had one supplied ( its like a T wrench) with my truma auto which was fitted in March 2007 but I thought only to disengage not engage the mover.
That is the whole point, Swift. As I explained earlier, Powr only used to supply a tool to wind the rollers OFF the wheels if auto actuation failed and that was the only possible override. According to JennyC it is now possible on newer models to also manually engage the rollers in the event of failure of the auto system.

that was the Truma system. I will have to check my Powertouch manual to see if it does both but its irrelevante anyway as I never had a problem and if I do in the future I will just use the tool supplied and get over it.

As our service engineer pointed out when advising us that the mover could be both engaged and disengaged manually - who would want to manually engage the rollers if the controller was working - they'd use the electronic alternative, and what would be the
point of engaging rollers when the controller was inoperative. We've had two system failures over the years, both control boxes and both manual variants. The auto hasn't failed to date.0
