Windbreaks

Can anyone recommend a supplier of windbreaks? Need one for providing shelter for BBQ etc. Don't want a high one but around a metre high? Not wood poles and doesn't cost the earth. Saw an Isabella one at a dealer yesterday, fantastic but don't want to spend
in excess of £200 for one

Outwell do lightweight windbreaks which come in one or two colours at around £45.  Slightly higher than 1 metre though.

Here's a link to show you what they look like.

Those look good Peedee but I'd be doubtful about the statement that they will go into hardstandings.  Wink

I saw one in Halfords last week, as well as rolling up, it folds in half taking up a lot less room and weight wasn't too bad. Not sure what is was made of though. Probably on-line if you want to check and they do discount. Can't remember if its CC or C&CC?

One of those would probably be expensive.

I have a Regatta one in thin nylon fabric.

I have modified one end with the addition of some piping which threads into the awning rail. This gives a good firm attachment at one end.

I just bought a windshield pro from quest leisure and am very impressed.  Well presented, compact, no string guy ropes and survived the Easter gales.  Not cheap but well worth it, is extendable by just adding extra panels and can have a gate (ideal to stop
    our dogs from wandering)

We have the Jormax windbreaks and the material still looks as good as the day we bought it which was about 5 years ago.

Write your comments here...Hi, I see you refer here to a Quest Pro windbreak and I wonder how you found it to put up.  We've recently bought a very similar one, the Kampa Pro and it's an absolute pig to put up.  It came without any instructions and, on the
face of it, you wouldn't think you'd need instructions but in whichever order we try to assemble it, we just cannot get it right.  I'd be interested to hear how the Quest is.

Write your comments here...yep, you're about right, the information is virtually useless so you're pretty much on your own to figure it out.  It's not too bad though apart from the add on panel which was almost condemned as being made wrong until I eventually
worked it out.  Other than that it's fine.
