Air awnings

We have the Kampa Rally Pro - the reason we went for the Pro was because of the thicker fabric. It is 330cm long and a good size - the 260cm half covered the bedroom window in our last caravan and the 390cm was fine at the back but covered half the loung
window! Not all makes and models come in a 330cm length though.

We have the Kampa Pro Air 260, and my experience is not the same as those noted above.  If I had my time over I would never buy an air awning, we have terrible trouble with leaks and pooling on the roof.  I would put my money into either an Isabella or Ventura (sister company) porch awning with Fibre poles....

Write your comments here...totally agree with you Nick, we have a Kampa Rally Pro (Pole Version) fortunately we've not had any problems with leaks or pooling on the roof, but on 3 occasions in the past 12 months I have seen owners of air awnings having serious issues with air loss from valves and tubes.

My Kampa pole type awning is a decent bit of kit, but I wouldn't buy another It will be Isabella next time.

Like many others last year we made the decision to move to a porch awning, this was due to a shoulder injury. We needed one that would still allow us to use a annexe when required and the only one we could find suitable was the Sunncamp Ultima Air 280. We used it for the first time last week and we are delighted with it, it's the 2016 model and yes It was slightly heavier to get into the awning rail but once that's done it's so easy ( unless you're on a club hard standing) just peg out the corners and 10/11 pumps per tube and it's pretty much done, it does seem to use more pegs and this wouldn't usually be a problem but some of the clubs hard stand seem to be made of reinforced concrete and need a sledge hammer to get pegs into. But once done even though it came with storm poles to hold the side onto the caravan we didn't use them although we did use the inflatable roof ones, we had 50mph winds and the heaviest rain I have seen for many years and apart from the expected drips from a new awning it was superb, no roof pooling rock solid in the wind and what was better was no squeeking poles rubbing on the van. 

Just purchased a bracot air aspire 30 awning does anyone know of an inner tent which would be ok to use as i cant seem to find a one whinch is made for this awning.

Ive got the Outdoor Revolution Oxygen Speed one.

Its good.  tbh, pegging it out is what takes the time.  And it needs pegging out carefully as there's no "shape" to it until its inflated.

If the pitch isn't flat, it is a bit trickier.  But it seems easier than messing with poles.

Its nice and study in winds.  Far more so than the canopy awning it replaced.
