Awning questions
We aquired 2 awnings when we bought our van, both Issabella's (Capri & Ambassador). We are are away at easter so planning to take an awning to try, never used one before, but have errected more tents than I care to mention. Weekend past ,we errected them
both on the drive to check everything was ok. Everything on the Ambassador was fine (apart from broken end bayonet fiitings to the roof poles, which have now been ordered.
However, the valance cross poles (2) that connect the 3 small pieces to hold the valance out have no pole tube stitched to the canvas (Ambassador has these pole tubes stitched to the underneath of the valance). So the valance is flapping around once errected
on the Capri , whereas the Ambassador is perfect. Is this normal?
Also I think the reason the bayonet end caps were broken on the ambassador is the angle the 2 outside poles were previously used at, should they be level with the tops of the end panel windows or angled upwards toward the mid corner of the roof of the van?
Anybody advise?

I can't asnwer all your questions as you'll need an owner. Although we have poles for the valance we never put them in and we have never noticed any undue flapping, so it might be normal for that awning. Have you contacted Ambasssador direct?

we have both of these awnings, and both should have the poles for the valance.
Hi, both awnings have all the poles including the valance cross poles, but the Capri valance has no fabric tube sewn in it to slide the poles through, if you see what I mean
