Angled 16 amp cable sockets

Whilst on the continent last year I noticed some campers had power cables where the socket that plugs into the motorhome has the cable coming out at an angle so that the cable hangs down rather than sticking straight out.

I have tried to source such a connector but am not having much luck.

Does anyone have any idea where such a connector can be obtained ?

I think the ones you have seen may well be continental design where the pins are set our differently, the only angled ones I can think of are the wall mounted types made by M.K and Lewdon, Gewiss plus a few more. The M.K ones are marketed as the commando
    range.

Certainly not from any manufacturers that I can see, only the wall mounted are in the catalogues. Assuming you are talking of an angled trailing lead socket like the one here.

Mine, just like the one illustrated came from a marina shop in France. With my EHU in the awning the cable falling directly down rather than bent canterlevering out is so much more practical and in that way safer. The intergrated socket is of course not protected by the van's residual current device, only any provision the bollar may have, therefore we rarely use that feature. Mine is on a two metre tail, so can be used with any standard lead, the joint being well out of harms way under the van.

These are extensively used by the Dutch so sourcing one from their online caravanning stores would be another route.

Edit: here is a UK source I Googled: The J162 & J161 models.
