Snooper battery

  I thought it was just me! My Garmin SatNav can be used handheld for a few hours on battery alone. I've just spoken to Snooper about the battery on that and it is only reckoned to work for thirty minutes on battery. 

   I only occasionally want to use handheld, but it appears that this is a no no.

    The two Tom Toms I've had only seem to last an hour at most on the batteries.

     I tend to switch on...see the next few directions then switch off....repeat as required!....Obviously used when on foot or bike in this mode!
