Any of you got these shower heads?

We had to replace our existing shower head (not camel) and bought the eco camel orbit at the show.  Used for the first time this morning and we are not impressed in the slightest.  Really rubbish flow of water and not good for hair rinsing.

Any one else disappointed.

JVB, as you say, is it because of the difference in power between a caravan submersible and a MH external in line pumps like Shurflo or Flojet?

our pals and us both have Eco Camel shower heads which work fine.....they have a Flojet pump and we have a Shurflow.

how powerful is the shower normally in a caravan with a submersible..?

When we bought our eco camel at a show - not the orbit - they said we could send it back if we were unhappy.

See if you can replace it with the older model. They work a treat even with a failing pump and inlet which we had last year

The salesman tried to sell us one of those at the NEC last year.  I opted for the older Jetstorm version which works well in our motorhome.  As JayEss says try and get it replaced.

Thanks everyone for the input that is obviously our problem. Pretty disappointed that the sales guy didn't mention it when we bought in. Trouble is we are now on day  2 of 15 night trip staying on CLs.

    Thanks again

Just tried our brand new (spare) whale pump but results are still poor.  Will send email to eco camel later to see what they suggest.

Yep Husky will have to get the watering can out.

..forgot to say, ours is the Jetstorm too, i wonder if the orbit requires (even) more pressure than the Jetstorm to perform adequately?

Not as clever as you BB

The old hose was broken so we threw everything away.

Never expected there to be any problem after all  these products are sold at caravan exhibitions.....should be fit for purpose.

anyway things got worse this morning, hubby has first shower while I put the bed away. He comes out with empty shampoo bottle, okay so now I've rubbish shower and no shampoo. Start shower only for water to run cold almost immediately, hubby apparently turned
off water heater this morning when he put the kettle on.

So jug of hot water rapidly boiled came to the rescue. Almost a watering can Husky??

Glad we are not new to caravanning this would put me right off.

It's a shame you are on your travels as I have three standard caravan shower heads. Found them in a locker when we bought the van

There seem to be number of conflicting views regarding the Eco Camer Orbit with some saying brilliant and other saying ti is rubbish and a waste of money.

We prefer the old fashion shower rose as at least you get a decent shower!

Excellent  customer service from Ecocamel, they are posting a Jetstorm E for us to try.  Arranged to have it posted to our next CL.

Will let you know how we get on with the replacement.

I have bought an orbit for home and find it fantastic. The van, I have the standard Ecocamel head and again, I'm very pleased with it.Bailey fit them as standard.

Well Jetstorm E was lots better than the Orbit but was it better than a bog standard cheapish one?

For me it's debatable but hubby thinks it did use less water so that's a plus. I didn't think it was any more powerful than our previous shower head and tbh the air/water noise annoyed me.  I've got very sensitive little ears ??
