Cycle Carrier
We need to transport 2 cycles I wondered if rear carrier being easier to load would be a better option than the roof . However does anyone know how the extra weight right at the rear affects the weight and handling. one of the bikes is electric so quite
heavy . Any advice or opinions would be welcome . we travel in Volvo XC60 towing a Bailey Pageant Louisiana 3 adults and 2 small dogs

I've a Hobby with rear carrier; excellent. Hobby designed the 'van to have them, but Fiamma do a generic version. My 'van doesn't notice the load, but Hobby's are very stable anyway. Check that the rear panel has strengthening bars, or Fiamma sell them.
Best to consult manufacturer tho'.0 -
Sorry I've misled you I meant to say cycle carrier on the back of the vehicle not the caravan.

I have said it before and will say it again, get yourself a Thule Cantilever system, no physical lifting required, if you cannot find it on the Thule Website, try your local Volvo Dealer, you don't have to own a Volvo to buy one, they are Multi-Sexual
