Hi i'm looking to purchase a Tow Ball Bike Rack/carrier. They are e-Bikes with a weight of 25 Kg each. Has anyone experience of any make/model? It will go on the back of a VW T5 Shuttle.

Take a look at Thule models. We have one we use  for two bikes, tilts to allow access to rear of vehicles, get dogs in etc.... Doubles as a bike stand off vehicle as well. Not cheap, but excellent quality.

Take the batteries off first be far easier to lift on. Just converted our two mountain bikes to electric but made sure the batteries are easily removable. Drops the weight down to a manageable 15Kg per bike.

I don't have an electric bike but my Tesco ball rack is quite robust and simple.  You might need to check its weight limit though.

have a look at this thread from the MMM forum. its about a Busbiker rack which swings away in the horizontal plane to allow the rear doors of a PVC to open...

has a couple of useful pics and a host of tech/fitting info...

I have the Thule 970 2bike towball bike carrier. I can't speak for EBikes just MTB's. It carries 2bikes without a problem. Over Forest tracks without issue, no loosening of ties or on the ball. It has a max weight load of 30kgs. Easy on/off, lockable onto
ball. It's well made & quick to set up/remove. I paid just under £60 including delivery.

Thank you all for the comments, Purchaed the Witter ZXE502 Innovative Towball Mounted Tilting 2 Electric Bike Cycle Carrier at the caravan show on Friday. Compred
to all carriers on show, not a easy task as all had good points and came in a vast price range

We have a Thule 2 E-Bike rack bought thru Volvo with Volvo badges and the correct weight for 2 e-bikes, >60kgm.   Excellent quality, used them since last March all over France and Southern England.    But get good Secure Gold locks, to supplement the Thule
    locks.
