I've used a pair of Milenco Aero mirrors for some 9 years on my D3 without any problems.  Have a look here.

If you want something bigger there is the Milenco Grand Aero on the same site.

Enjoy your first trip, the disco tows like a  dream. We do about 6000 miles a year with the van attached and have no problems.

I've got a pair of Huckepack mirrors ( which also are for sale only because they won't fit a Discovery 4's huge mirrors - would need much longer rubber straps ). Worked fine on my Discovery 3s for many years.

I would suggest milenco grand aero.  I would also suggest that you go to a local accessory shop and see if they will let you try some different mirrors out to make sure they fit.  You might be better doiing this on a quiet Wednesday morning rather than a
    busy Saturday afternoon.

To comply with the law I attach a pair of Aeros to my Disco 3 and they are slightly less useless than some I have had.

I have all the rear vision I need in the standard car mirrors and they dont shake about.

You must tow an exceptionally narrow caravan then.

However do you have all the rear vision, the law needs you to have?

I use the 'Suck it and See' mirrors. Brilliantly easy to fix and remove. Just bought a new one from the show. A convex one for the passenger side and a flat glass for the drivers side. The advantage is that they move with the car mirror whether electric or manual. There is no doubt that extension mirrors improve your view to the back.

Write your comments here...Completely disagree.  I have driven a D3 for the last couple of years and standard mirrors do not let you see far enough back in the adjacent lane.  However with Milenco Grand Aero mirrors outboard of the standard mirror and secured to the bottom edge of mirror surround the view is excellent.

The "suck and see" do though take away an invaluable contribution to overall rear vision you get from the car's own mirrors. Every bit of vision is a bonus IMO, so I am not into blinding a big part of it.

Putting Aeros on the underside of the car's mirrors puts most of any fretting scratches from the clamps out of sight. Not too critical though still valuable with the Disco3's unpainted mirrors but could save tears with the Disco 4's painted jobs; I know!

Land rover sell aset of mirrors that fit the disco very well and no vibration. They are expensive however and they are nothing more thana re-branded packing. The manufacturer escapes my memory, but i posted this on a thread last year. They were no good for
the latest contour styled mirrors on my Range Rover, but would have fitted my previous Disco with thestraighter edged mirrors. Try a search, i will have a look as well.

the Huckepack mirrors, I've been looking at a set online...are they the set with support arms on suckers?

Write your comments here...They were Reich XL mirrors and much cheaper than the re-branded land rover version.
