Levelling blocks
Hello everyone, we have recently purchased our first caravan and was wondering which levelling blocks everybody recommends or is it best to just use wooden blocks. Any help would be very much appreciate. Cheers Jowill

I use a Bulldog leveller. It works similar to a wheel jack. Its main advantage is you can perfectly level your van. Disadvantages are its weight and you need a long handle ratchet to wind it up easily.

Apologies to the OP, I neglected to notice you are a caravanner not a motorhomer the yellow Fiamma ones I mentioned we found
fine for the caravan but not for the motorhome. I do agree with Shrimpfarmer, we went over to a Bulldog leveller on our last caravan and found it to do the job very well, if you get the new ones they are not as heavy as the older type I believe if
we were going back to a caravan thats the one I would get.0 -
We carry wooden sections however we tend to use hard standings so simply scrape away some gravel to lower one side. Simple and quick tho do remember after to push it back.

I have used wooden ramps for years, but as I have recently got a new van with Alko wheel lock I have now got Lock N Level air bag system.

I have the yellow wedge shaped blocks at the moment but seriously thinking of investing in a “Lock n Level”
http://www.locknlevel.co.uk/ just to save the aggravation of lining up the ALKO wheel lock when using a ramp.0 -

We use blocks of wood having seen many an attached footpad come to grief on ferry ramps. They've served us well for the last 25 years but need replacing now so we'll do the same again and hope that I get another 25 years out of them.

I currently use yellow level ramps. The youtube levellers look really good but don't seem to be available in UK. Twin axle vanners may have seen that the same company, Andeson, also do a jack using the same rotating principle - now if I had a TA would try
to get one of those.0 -
Milenco four step, approx £20 for a pair, what do you get for a pair ?

Email reply from Andersen, shame I like them.
Thank you for contacting us in regards to our Camper Leveler and we do not have any UK retailers. The best way to get them to you would be ordering directly from us for $40 each and unfortunately the shipping cost is about $80 for 2 of them.
Keep us posted if we can assist.
