Has anyone had problems with a Kampa Rally 390 Air Awning, We have had one for approx 3-4 years and last year the roof started to disintegrate each time we erected it there was another rip in the roof so another patch, at the end of the season we had 4 patches
on the roof. When I queried this with Kampa I was basically told that there was nothing they can do as it was out of warranty and that it was uv damage and we should have pitched in the shade !!!  who wants to pitch in the shade needless to say We won't by
Kampa again, just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

What a rubbish and disappointing response from Kampa.  Speak to Trading Standards.  We have lots of rights under the Sale of Goods Act which in law overrides any warranty given. We are are talking about reasonable time here.  Would have thought that 4 years
is unreasonble from your point of view and you would reasonably expect an awning to last longer than 4 years.  Hopefuly someone from Kampa is monitoring this forum!  My Kampa Pro (not Air) is 4 years old and as good as new and used all over Europe in sun and
rain but never packed up wet.

And yet, I've had a totally different experience of Kampa.  We bought an Air Pro 390 when we got our new van in December 2014 and after two or three uses, the awning just wouldn't inflate.  We had just started a two-week holiday in Devon.  A phone call to
the dealer didn't solve the problem but he got the Kampa Rep to ring me straight away - which he did.  Again, the Rep went through all possible explanations - and eliminated them.  He was most apologetic and arranged for a brand new awning to be sent (FOC)
by courier to our campsite which was with us within less than 24 hours - and ensured we got a full refund on the 'old' awning - without them even having inspected it. I was most impressed at his eagerness to put things right as soon as possible and minimise
any inconvenience to ourselves.  The new one has performed faultlessly for the last year and I am delighted with it.

Hi I have a Kampa  Rally Pro Not Air type bought last year at the caravan show in Manchester, it has been used in the UK for approx 6 weeks last year and the sleeves that take the external poles have faded, spoken to Kampa rep at the show this yeatr and they
have asked me to send photo`s to my supplier  and then to Kampa, thinks that the material has been folded the wrong way which has the uv treated side inside the sleeve

Had a Kampa 390 Air since they were first introduced, no leaks, faded slightly, used it in all weathers. Have you ever packed it away wet/damp or stored in a damp area, this will not help. Only problem with 390 Air is that the 2 outside legs bend, particularly
if very windy and Kampa dont seem to recognise this as a problem, which is a bit frustrating

We have just ordered a 2016 spec Kampa air pro 390 .... It would appear they have increased the size of the tubes in this model ,possibly to stop tubes flexing . I was also suprised by 11 psi inflation pressure ,the demo model we saw had the tubes as hard
as bike tyres , i thought . I only could see almost treble the volume of our Suncamp Air 260 ,so sourced a 12v pump to inflate the thing .

Martin - be careful that the 12v pump doesn't over-inflate the tubes.  The hand pump is designed so as to prevent over inflation.  We do use a 12v pump but it's a high volume / low pressure type used for air beds etc and I finish inflating with the hand
pump.  Wouldn't like your new awning to go 'bang'!
