TV Bracket

Currently I have my TV on a shelf next to the door. I'm thinking of getting a bracket mounted to the wall in my new Bailey to free up this space. This wall looks to be chipboard or similar. Is it wise to fit this, will it need backing plate to make it secure?

Should I get a specialist to fit it on next service?

We take delivery of our Elldis next week and we have asked the dealer to fit the bracket. On our van there are holes pre drilled with blanking plugs in them maybe get it done by specialist.

I fitted one in my clubman. I used a metal plate from B&Q which was of the same size as the fixing plate on the bracket and drilled holes to accept bolts. I sourced suitable bolts and lock nuts from ebay but I notice that Screwfix do small bolts and nuts
so might look there next time.

RedMick,  if  you  do  it  yourself

    1)   ensure  no  cables,  pipes  are  in  the  way,  just  as  you  would  at  home

    2)  No  matter  how  good  a  spot  you  choose  make  sure  its  not  an  outside  wall

    3)  Check  &  measure  three  times  then  mount  it  only  once  Laughing
