Air awnings and found level
We have a Kampa Rally Pro 260 which seems a good awning but I sometimes wonder if we would get on better with an air awning as advancing years make erecting the frame a bit of a struggle. I have been held back by wondering what happens with an air awning
on uneven ground. We often find on a CL site that we need to use levelling blocks and I wonder if that resluts in gaps around the awning due to the fact that the air "poles" cannot be adjusted for length.

We have been using a Kampa air awning for 2 years now we allways stay on c l`s [club sites far to expensive] and we have never had any problems when using an unlevel pitch ,like your good selves at our age we were finding it difficult to erect a traditional
awing,i would say `go for it` i am sure you wont regret it0 -
Thanks, that is really helpful. We possibly made a mistake last year in buying the one with poles but the air model was so much more money. Now that we mid 70's are approaching we may have to change. In France we use an Isabella sun canopy which I can
put up on my own in about 5 minutes. Agreed - CC sites much too expensive and crowded.0 -
Last time we wre in France, the pitch was so uneven the hitch was on the grass and I had eveything I could lay my hands on under the rear stay fully would out.
We had our Air 390 up, I did pull it as far forward as I could and there was a bit of a gap in the rear corner which I blocked with the cool box.
....It did not look pretty, but worked fine!!
