To be fair Merve, the list of subjects that caravan club is silent is a very long one.
Anyway I am sure that most people want read about the latest "adventures" of the
Meeks rather than practical advice on how to make their hobby more enjoyable and cheaper. I know I would0 -
Evening everyone, im about to have a sloar system fitted. I was chatting with someone today who says that the flat panel type are very poor and fail after 18months. the variety that are slightly raised and not directly affixed to the roof are fine. Has anyone
have any knbowledge !0 -
My flat semi flexible panel has an intermittent fault due, I suspect, to being mounted on a non-bonded roof. Notwithstanding the weight penalty, I would recommend a framed panel.

have any knbowledge !Write your comments here...if you are going to have a system fitted thats great and I hope you all success but please read the thread 'how to survive a non 240v site' in the 'Tips for making touring cheaper 'section. It's a fountain of knowledge for the
seeker of non EHU caravanning. Think about what you want to achieve, what you will want to run off the batterie/s - don't undershoot on the panel - or, if you have an inverter fitted, that needs to be beefy enough to run what you need (I run Microwave,
Vacuum, Toaster and a Blender - not all at the same time I hasten to add - you don't want to be disappointed by using a panel that doesn't perform as you want - much better to get a larger panel if the pocket will stretch to it. At £339.99 for a 200w panel,
a MTTP controller and all the kit, I would definitely go for that were I starting again. I might go for it anyway! Roof fixing is perfectly possible - mine has been up there for over 3 years and never a problem - just clean power! If you are going to do the
roof option and here I go sounding like an old cracked record - please make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing as regards sealing to one hole for the cable. Panelworks at Bawtry, Sth Yorks did mine and it has been perfect. Do your research
and do it once!0
