A bit more info might help generate a response, age, petrol/diesel, manual/auto, caravan details (weight) etc.....

Hi we used an Smax  2ltr TDCI Zetec to tow our last caravan, it was a Lunar Lexon SB. OH says he wouldn't recommend an Smax for a twin axle IHO it was a bit light on the front end when pulling away on an incline. We were within our limits but ..........

Prior to that we had a Kia Sedona, didn't even know the caravan was there.

I tow with a 2.0TDCI S Max - van is single axle @ 1500KG fully laden - tows fine - no problems, I think its a great towcar.

Agree with other post - it can seem light on the front when pulling away but not really an issue for us.

    Cheers - D

If you were thinking of the latest model its available with All Wheel Drive. Has a limit of 2000kg for max towable mass
