What do YOU carry in your tow vehicle?

I recently emptied my Land Rover completely to change it for a new one and was astonished at the volume (and weight) of stuff that I was carrying.  I decided to put back just the "essentials" but that has meant almost everything is back in the new one.

My girlfriend was surprised that I carried a spring loaded centre punch in the glove box but thought it was a great idea once I explained.  Do you know what it is there for, and what are the oddest things you carry?

    Don't know about the oddest thing but I'm sure there is stuff in my vehicle that is neither necessary or useful. My wife has a habit of putting rolss of kitchen roll in the car. Is that odd?

    Assume to break a side window in the event of turning turtle & not being able to open a door ... but would you be able to find it in the event? And have you ever tried to break a Triplex window? ... they're very very hard work ..... it took a considereable
    wallop with a hammer & centre pop years ago when I want to break one ..... for research only of course Innocent

    Very close, MM. They do work most admirably as I have tested in the past.  Not much use though on laminated screens. There the best way is to use an axe followed by a teflon coated joiner saw.

    It is there as a lifesaver for children and dogs in the summer heat.

    Si ce they started charging for plastic bags we usually keep a supply in the boot. There are also a few tools and the yellow vests we had for touring France.

    I have a basic fyshing kit in my LR.

    When you have got to go you have got to go. It can happen anytime.

    In normal use I like to have hardly anything in the car, a torch, sunglasses, pad and pen is all I keep in the glovebox. My door cubby has a cloth, one rear door cubby has two shopping bags, the back has a plastic box with the dogs bits in, and that's it.

    Caravanning and the rear seat is loaded with collapsible plastic crates, toolbox and anything else I can squeeze in.
