Volvo Caravan Club discounts
When I ordered my new Volvo XC90 back in April from the Volvo dealer in Huddersfield I was told that no Caravan Club discounts applied to this model. In August I discovered from another Volvo dealer that I had been given incorrect information and that the
Carvan Club discounts had been in existence since the 11th January 2016.
I informed the Huddersfield Volvo garage of my discovery on the 22nd August and the General Manager admitted a mistake had been made. This manager called me back two days later to discuss which discounts should apply. He told me he would deal with this matter
asap. I heard nothing more from him so wrote a letter, sent registered post, on the 1st Sept outlining what I had been deprived of and asked if he could let me know what exactly he is going to do to resolve this matter. As yet no reply.
Any advise what further action I should take.

Hi send a registered letter again outlining the problem that exist and that if he has not replied within 7 days you will be contacting the CEO of VOLVO UK to report how you have been treated.How do you know that somebody hasn't pocketed your discount.

Thanks for the advice but things have moved on a bit as I have now contacted Volvocar UK customer relations and they have told me that they will try to get the Huddersfield Volvo garage to get a payment to me as fast as possible. That was 24 hours ago and
still no contact from the garage as yet. Hopefully something will happen over the next few days.0 -
How much was the CC discount?
If you don't get minimum 10% from the dealer direct, you haven't really tried, so the CC discount must be more than this, surely?
Have you got the car? Is it too late to cancel and start again with another dealer?
I found that the Huddersfield dealer showed very little interest in discussing realistic discounts.

It does appear that the dealer misled you and my feeling is that to get action you should threaen them with a small claims action if you do not get the matter settled within fourteen days. In any event I would not use them again even if it means a trip to
the next town if you want another Volvo.0 -
Here we are some two weeks after I contacted Volvo UK Customer Relations and still no responce from the Huddersfield Volvo Garage. Tomorrow I am going to contact the Customer Relations again to see what if anything they have found out. If I get no joy with
them my next step is to write to Volvo UK's CEO and see what he has to say.0 -

i found the recent ask the expert forum with Volvo helpful and they are arranging to lend me a demo XC60 with a towbar via our local dealer.
