    all about Ad-Blue here:

    http://myadblue.co.uk/about-adblue/

Ad-blue is injected into a hot exhaust just in front of a very expensive catalyst and is made up of pure urea in distilled water.  Urine does contain urea (only at around 15% the concentration required to make the catalyst work) but also a myriad of other
things including salts and proteins that will very quickly ruin the catalyst, I suspect the comments are tongue in cheek, but please don't wee in your ad-blue tank for the sake of a few quids worth of fluid.

Some LGV manufactures have been using add blue since euro 4 engines, now on euro 6 they use alot more of the stuff or they have a hard working EGR system to clean before the exhaust and then a little add blue to further clean the nox.

buying add blue in 10 ltr tubs is a complete rip off so if you can buy it on the forcourt pump it will be much cheaper, thast is until the government decide there are enough cars out there to tax the blue stuff!!!

Why not go to a filling station that has AdBlue pumps?

    This is a useful resource:

Last time I filled my AdBlue it was £0.59/litre at a Shell station. Then had the car serviced and Mercedes now include it in the Service Plan!!!

The AdBlue tank is under the spare wheel in the boot. Later builds have an AdBlue filler in the fuel filler compartment that makes life easier, as do other marques of cars. Hence you can fill up at a service station or truck stop     No
need to get ripped off buying bottles of various sizes    Or smelling of wee on your suit if you spill it whilst decanting
