I have a creeking/knocking noise that comes from the Alkko tow hitch at slow speeds. i have cleaned the inside of the hitch and made sure that the tow ball is clean and free from rrust/dirt but the noise is still there. It sounds worse in the car but does
seem to be secure to the  vehicle. I just hope it is safe to tow as we are on site at the moment.

Sometimes you just have to live with it. It's safe to tow despite the noise.

It might pay to take the pads out and clean them with fine emery cloth ,and spray brake cleaner into the copling head,if they are too bad ,it might pay to replace the pads

As per MollysMummy if you can`t stop the noise by cleaning in the hitch and towball you may have to live with it, it seems to be a hot topic this year. What make of towball do you have?

I had a very similar experience when I first started towing.

2 things have changed, and its gone

1 - Brake cleaner on the tow ball before each trip

    2 - New friction pads
