more strain on the car. Mt caravan is a Pegasus 554 fully laden weight is aprox 1450. Help please.

Hi again the Volvo V70 D4 is lighter than the D5.

I believe the D4 is still capable of towing 1800 KGs anyway which is well over your Bailey weight. Personally I wouldn't worry. Do you intend to keep the car for a long time? I have just ordered a New V90 with the D4 engine (the new 2litre engine) and that will be towing my Swift 580 which has a laden weight of 1550 and I am not worried. It still has 400 NM of torque which is only 40 NM down from the 215 engine in my XC70 I have at the moment. Plus it has the new 8 speed auto box which I am looking forward to using.

    Hi Pagan8c

Thanks for the info ,I have plumped for an XC70 SE LUX 215 AWD geartronic . The new v90 is to me not as practical as we have 3 labradors.
