In leu of collecting the van the weekend I`ve been trying to stay in the centre of the road, well, in between the kerb and the white lines, how difficult is that!!!.....

I drove artics for ten years about 20 years ago, and never gave it a second thought, maybe its my age Undecided

It'll likely be easier once you've got the extension mirrors fitted (you have remembered to buy them?) as you'll track the white line and the hedge in them and position yourself accordingly. You'll drive by the width of the van behind you rather than the
    bonnet in front.

I tend to tip my car's mirrors down a little, particular my nearside, so I can see the white lines in the centre of the road and on the nearside to help me stay in my lane

    Thank you,

Its all a learning curve, the place I'm collecting the van from is out in the sticks.

Narrow lanes and lots of folliage!!

Towing mirrors a definite must have! I tilt the car mirror down a little so I can see the bottom of the van and watch for kerbs when there are tight corners.

Remember the swing when you are turning would be my number one tip I think.

Scratched windows are a badge of office. He who has no scratches never ventures into the world of adventure.
