Does anyone know if the heat has any effect on car alarms by which I mean setting them off.

Have known heat to affect car alarms but it's very unusual. A few years back we had two customers complaining about their car alarms going off in mega hot sunshine. Upon investigation, on both occasions, it turned out to be the bonnet switch i.e. the car bonnet and body was so hot that expansion being more than normal was causing the bonnet switch to activate, just simply adjusted bonnet switch and no more problems. Just as a quick thought, try selecting the pet friendly mode and see if it's OK, if so, turn down the sensitivity If possible.

Might not be an 'expert' but your answer is the one I would have suggested as that was a common reason for triggering an Omega's alarm. Once the bonnet switch had been bent/adjusted, problem solved

pretty sure I recall this being caused by temperature change and is the foam that sits behind the interior movement sensors which I recall may be in the roof at the front by the reading lights, removing it has cured the issue for others

I see this discussion has been moved, it was originally in the "Ask the Expert" section, that's why I said; I should not of posted a reply to this question after reading the T&C of the "Ask the Expert" section where this discussion first started. Seems like I've made a fool of myself, never mind, isn't the first time won't be the last lol.

PS, I wonder if the "Ask the Experts" actually answered the post'ers said question before moving this discussion to this section?

Check the bonnet switch, as suggested above, most likely the cause.
