Kia Magentis 2.0 CRDI Auto (2010) (Parking Sensor)
I will check the manual when I get the car, just wondered if anyone else had one and know if you can disable to parking sensors on it, then I don't need to have a swan neck towbar fitted.

.....
I actually prefer the two bolt flange type but that is just me perhaps.
Must be ......It was one of the first things I got rid of on my last car and put a swan neck in its place .. ugly & sin, springs to mind ..... it was later replaced again with a Westfalia detachable.

Maybe a disadvantage of the swan neck is that it prevents using a bike rack when towing? I don't know.

Write your comments here...i prefer two bolt flange too
You need to turn the rear sensors off then or learn to ignore them ...... and returning to my original question ..... why would you?

What advantage do you see in a swan neck? For me the aesthetics are very much secondary. I like electrical socket and towball right were they are easy to access - on the flange.
As above, it's slightly less ugly than a 2 bolt flange ... the asthetics for me are important.

With arthritis in my shoulder, spine and hands accesibility is the most important MM
Also, although doubtless neater with towball removed, I would not really consider a detatchable for that reason. It would not be removed if I had one as th towcar does 90+% pf its mileage when away eith the caravan and we tow every 5th day generally

My towbar is fitted for towing only ..... fitted before we go & removed within minutes of getting there My shoulder is getting the same as
yours though an injection every few years is so far doing the trick. Trouble is, my knees are now beginning to grumble ....0
