thinking of looking at an mg6 (tow car winner)but wondered if anybody had experience of this model,eg reliability,what its like to drive,etc with it being fairly recently launched not many reviews about

    It has been around 5 years and has just been discontinued. Look at ARonline website for general reviews. As a drivers car it comes out well having a chassis closely based on the Rover 75 which was in turn developed by BMW.

    You would get a very good deal on one and it appears carshop are selling a lot of pre-registered ones.  I work for a main franchise dealership and we know people from Carshop who say they do struggle to sell them.

    I would be concerned that they sell so few MG's in the uk that the Chinese my well pull out all together.

    The 6 however, does look great value and is a nice car now, early ones were a bit iffy reliability-wise, but the new ones are pretty good.Have a look at mg-rover.org and you will get some good info there.
