After some advice pIease, I am thinking about buying a Freelander 2 and test drove one yesterday, liked the car but was underwhelmed by the boot size which Landrover states is 755 L. It just didnt look that big.

With myself  my wife, two children and a dog we have a lot of stuff. Does anyone else tow with a Freelander 2 and how do you find the boot capacity?

I have been towing with FL2's for 7 years and on my second SD4 180, an excellent tow vehicle but for a family and dog the boot space can be limiting. We are just two and our dog (mid to large) with the boot space entirely for the dog, and the rear seating loaded with all sorts that we take away when caravanning. This works perfectly well for us but I could see you struggling with two children in the back and nowhere to load, unless you use a roofbox.

Similarly, with just the two of us we didn't find the boot space a problem but I agree that it could be problematic with four people, dog and all the necessary stuff.

Thank you for all the advice- I think it will have to be an estate.
