Volvo XC 60 D4 2011 or Hyundai Santa Fe premium 20

Evening, Im after your thoughts, experience and knowledge of these two vehicles for towing my 1460kg caravan. Im not interested in the %tow capabilities as currently tow at 95% with my current vehicle and have done for 6 years trouble free. Just undecided
on whether to go hyundai or volvo for my next towcar. If you own either vehicle would you please give your thoughts, fuel figures, running costs etc to assist me in making a difficult choice.

    As ive yet to purchase i have no preference of which poison to try lol Hence my requesting members advice

    We have a Santa Fe, towed with it for 4 years, its great. Not sure on fuel figures, but Hubby seems happy with it. Only costs are a set of tyres and annual oil and filter change.

    I have a 2015 XC60 D4 manual, approx 55 mpg solo and approx 30-35 mpg towing 1370 kg caravan plus £30 road tax due to low emmisions

    Hi, I have recently put on a post regarding my ex Santa Fe which was a 2011 premium auto 2.2 diesel,  the car was lovely to drive and comfy, mpg while towing a bailey 1500 mtplm was not good about 22mpg not sure if the manual would be any better, solo it was about 30 mpg, only had the problem with car but it was going to be a costly one as my post explains, good luck with car hunting.
