Hi everyone,

My Mondeo was written off on Sunday by someone who doesnt believe you have to give way on a roundabout. I have purchased a 2004 freelander 2.0 Diesel TD4 the manual states that the tyres should be 30 PSI for all conditions is this right for towing the caravan?

Yes, always follow the car manufacturers advice regarding tyre pressures. If in any doubt, check the tyre pressure table, if it gives a different pressure for when the car is fully laden (bags of luggage shown) use that for towing a caravan.

Although it is pretty much standard for a vehicle like the Freelander where the tyre pressure does'nt need to change for towing - they are purpose built.

When I had my Freelander I never changed the tyre pressures for towing or anything else and never had a problem.

Thanks very much everyone will keep them at 30 makes it easier than having re deflate tyres after towing too.

Sorry for another question but the freelander noseweight is 140KG I have an alko 3004 hitch on my 1994 elddis XL Typhoon do I assume that the noseweight I should be aiming for is 100kg.
