Caravan Club towing course / Scotland ?

Good morning all. 

I have just been looking at the caravan training courses available here on the site, in particular the towing course which is available to all levels of experienced drivers. Once completed a discount is available on insurance. I note there are currently over 22 courses which have over 150 remaining places available, unfortunately and sadly there are none available in Scotland. Given that there are groups here in Scotland ( Dumfries & Galloway, East Scotland Centre,  Fife & Tayside, Highland, North Scotland, South West Scotland, West Scotland ) I would have thought that there would be courses available to those with little or no towing experience. Fortunately for myself I have towing experience although I imagine that there are those who would attend these courses if available here in Scotland. Just an observation, perhaps the courses are available here earlier in the year.

    Not sure if the numbers involved would justify holding that many courses but certainly using more than one centre would help. Even in England the courses are spread out but if you look at the C&CC ones theirs are only in Coventry which is far worse.

    one course in central Scotland      surely not to much to ask for

    Used to run at Bonnybridge, then at Oatridge College near Broxburn.  

    I assume they no longer run there???

    Write your comments here... Hello Iain I believe they are still here although I never saw any courses at Oatridge within the training schedule on this site. 

    As Armourer points out, one here in Scotland would not be too musch to ask for, I agree with this.  22 South - Nil here ? Hmmm.......
