Tow hitch too high

purchased new suzuki s4 crossover.had new swan neck towbar fitted to allow caravan hitch to fit away from rear bumper. attatched caravan eriba puck l. looks like the caravan is a lauching pad for a cruise missile. towing unstable..

tow hitch height 17 inches. caravan when level 14 inches.

any ideas. without replacing tow hitch.  thanks..

    According to the club the height of the towbar centre should be between 350 and 420 cm. Not sure where you have measured it to but 17" is just over 420 and if to the top of the towball it is at the maximum height allowed. If that is so then it does seem
    the towball meets the standard requirements and there may be no comeback on the fitter.

    I would have a word with the clubs Technical Helpline and see if they can suggest anything but with a swan neck I think replacement is probably the only option.

    It might be worth ringing the towbar manufacturer if you can read the make and model number off the towbar, just in case the wrong towbar has been fitted.
