Hi

I have a VW Tiguan tow car and have 2 questions that I hope someone may be able to help with:

Do I legally require tow mirror extensions?

Any advice on which make, since those I have tried will not attach to the curved upper surface of the car mirrors?

There is plenty of info if you google "Towing Mirrors" essentially you have to have a good view of the road behind the caravan, so if the caravan is wider than the car which nearly all are you need mirrors. The mirrors need to be "E" marked Milenco Aero`s
fit the tiguan well and comply with the law. Not fitting mirrors could incurr a fine of up to £1000 three points and problems with insurance in the event of an accident, see Gov UK Site - towing.

If you get Milencos you will also need the 'f' bit to allow the fitting on the car mirror over the little ridge.  I've got them an my Tig easily available quite cheaply on Amazon.  The Milencos are stable and secure.
