I have just bought a new car and because it is top of the range it has 18 inch wheels .The standard being 17 inch wheels .I recently had a puncture which could not be repaired and the tyre had to be replaced .I only have a tyre repaire kit no spare wheel
.ATS had to order the tyre direct from Mitchelin which took 7 days to arrive.Anyone else had problems like this .Bob

Anyone with runflats, particularly on BMW's, has this problem. 18" wheels are pretty common across the uk, it's the tyre not the size that is usually the problem.

My last car, a BMW, had run flats, the longest i had to wait for a replacement was overnight. 7 days is too long did you try another supplier?

Had the same with a Ford S max, it was weight rating that was the problem.

You're lucky. Some years ago I had a Monterey, already a rare car, and needed two tyres of which there were apparently none of the same type in the country and I had to wait until another batch was manufactured. That took three months.
