Does anyone tow with a Honda CR-V 2.2 d tec se+?(2012) had a test drive in one seemed fine on its own,but wondering what it would perform like with a 1460kg van attached.on paper it is a good match,would just like any views.

    just traded in my 2006 crv 2.2 diesel and it was a very good towcar with van attached i normally got 27-29mpg towing 1450kg

     Had my 08 crv 2.2 Diesel for 2 years and is a very good tow car,tow a coachman 530/4 1520kg at 87% with no prolems and pulls well lots of low rev power ,100 kg nosewight but a little soft on the rear is will dip a little

    I had an '06 Mk2 2.2CRD, and was very pleased with it for reliablility, economy, comfort and power. It is soft at rear, so careful balancing of 'van is essential. I believe uprated rear shock absorbers and/or springs are a common modification.

    I'm running 2011 with 130k on clock. Best tow tug I 've ever had. Did cheat however and had it remapped to 187bhp  and appropriate torque increase. Getting 28/ 29 mpg towing a 1420 kg Adria. And in over 1000 miles mixed towing and solo achieving
    32/33 mpg. I would def have another.

    We tow with a 2014Honda 2.2CRV and it is a relaxed tow, it pulls really well. The reversing camera is brilliant. Towing in the Yorkshire Dales towards Skipton we came to a long steep incline with a crawler lane which I used expecting the following traffic
    to pass me, I was surprised to see them all left behind as I carried on up the hill at 50mph! Towing mpg 28 - 30. Solo local journeys mainly country lanes low 40's and long motorway journeys around 50mpg. The mpg does seem lower than it used to be before it
    had some software updates!

    Slightly off track but looking at al of the claimed mpg figures  has anyone actually done a full tank to full tank for mpg  I was shocked the dashboard was showing just over 25mpg towing in reality full to full was just over 19mpg

    In-car computers aren't that accurate. OH's i20 shows around 50mpg. Reality tank to tank is around 42/43.

    Write your comments here... I think I lasted a bit longer but it is only now I get a car with a registration that almost reads sexy. They say everything comes to he who waits but I had to wait a bit too long.
