Has anyone towed with one of these,  the 2.2, the 4 wheel drive or the 2 wheel drive, thinking of getting one, but don't know anyone who has one

    Take a look at www.antaraownersclub.com

loads of info in the towing section.

Had mine for nearly 3 years and its a very good tow car,a bit thirsty but for 2 ton of car plus 1500kg caravan 24 to 28 mph towing isnt to bad.

There are quite a few threads on this forum about the pros and cons of the Antara. Let's just say opinion as to their qualities is divided.

I fish with someone who has recently bought a manual Antara, his previous Sorento was costing him too much in breakdown repairs over the year he had it.

He said his research showed the auto vesion was problematic, which i didn't know about. I'll ask him what he thinks to the towing ability next Monday when i see him.

The nissan Terrano he had for years with little or no problems.
