As anyone familiar with this stretch, in certain places it is quite open either side and today although there wasn't movement in the trees, there appeared to be a lot of whistling at times around the mirrors and for a period of time the car wasn't feeling
it's usual rock steady self.

Not a stretch I am familier with but on a windy day you do have to watch the landscape on the M74 and the North end of the M6.

I am sure Moulsey will be along in a minute as he lives in the area, from my experience, there is a crosswind travelling from Swindon J16 to Chippenham J17 a couple of miles west of J14 as you go slightly down hil

Hi The Admiral, I've had a chat with "M" on email about it and he has confirmed my thoughts.   In fairness I did easily resolve it by dropping down to 55 mph. The biggest wobble if I can call it that was when a Transit Luton wooshed past.  I also had a Megabus
overtake but I had seen him approach so had time to adjust without having any issues from him.

The new van has ATC as well as the AKS, so I hope it will be of further benefit.
