How do I use towing weight scale?

hi i have shogun 2.5 have just bought weight scale just want to now how I calculate it!!

    Whats a towing weight scale and how much are they, could be interested, l have Shogun 3.2  07 SWB tows brilliantly, l am considering trading it in for the diesil Outlander GX4 or GX3 and would need the scales to make sure of the weight l am towing.
