VW DSG Gearbox

I'm thinking of changing my car and never considered the DSG version of the VW I'm looking at.  However, they only had a DSG version to test drive and I'm smitten.  Can anyone comment on its towing ability?  The model is a Passat Alltrack.

    We tow our 1,450kg van with a DSG Alltrack.  I can't think of anything else I would change it for - IMO it has everthing you could possibly want in a towcar.  It has sufficient weight to tow most vans, it has huge carrying capacity, it is 4 wheel drive,
    it is economical and the DSG box is effortless to drive and IMO superior to a conventional auto in a number of ways.  Previously towed with a Freelander 2 which whilst a good tow car was not as good as the Alltrack IMO.

    We started our towing with a DSG equipped Toledo that already had over 100k miles on the clock, no problems at all.

    I tow with a 2015 Tiguan with DSG and before that had a VW California with DSG. Whilst I have no other experience of an Auto, I find it excellent for towing and you can also change up/down manually should you wish.

    Thanks for this.  I currently drive a manual Tiguan but my PCP contract is coming to an end.  Would love another Tiguan but the new model won't be available for delivery until June according to my dealer. Looked at the Alltrack and wouldn't have considered
    the DSG until i took the test drive.  Only downside is £3000 premium over the manual!

    We currently have a 177ps Tiguan with DSG and like everyone lese find it a brilliant tow car and the DSG box excellent.

    I tow with a vw passat bi turbo with dsg and it superb.
