Which Tow Bar?
I have just changed my vehicle to an immaculate low mileage 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander 2.2 Diesel that has everything except a tow bar! I have priced a the fitting of a Witter Tow Bar with dedicated wiring, but this is approximately £180 more expensive than
another locally fitted tow bar. That said, the cheaper one has the cheaper generic wiring. Is it worth paying so much more for the dedicated wiring?

It makes sense to add to a car with CANBUS exactly the same spec towing loom, why go cheap and risk an electrical fault that the warranty company 'could' blame on an inferior loom. Plus a dedicated loom may allow extra useful functions to be brought into
play that a 'smart relay' and loom would not.0 -
If you don't have the dedicated wiring they will probably fit a voltage controlled relay which is not compatible with a smart alternator, so to run the fridge and charge the caravan battery you'll have to drive with the headlights on dip. So check your alternator
before you buy non dedicated wiring.0
