Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 Petrol Auto

Anyone got one that they tow with.  Is an extra cooler necessary for towing with the automatic? Thanks

    Thanks for reply, however its not a main dealer so i guess they could say anything but then again are main dealers trustworthy lol

    I think all main dealers have telephones....worth ringing a couple!!!!!!!!!!

    PS. There is a Vectra forum but I would still contact a main dealer as apposed to asking a casual passing owner!!

    Are you thinking extra gearbox cooler? You know there's likely to be one already fitted to your main engine rad? All my auto Vauxhalls have had one & I'd be very surprised if the vectra doesn't.

    Are you thinking extra gearbox cooler? You know there's likely to be one already fitted to your main engine rad? All my auto Vauxhalls have had one & I'd be very surprised if the vectra doesn't.

    We have a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira 2.2 Petrol Auto and we don't have an extra cooler fitted.  Our caravan is a Lunar Ariva which is lightweight, about 960 kg.  It pulls that no probs at all.

    We have a 2007 Vauxhall Zafira 2.2 Petrol Auto and we don't have an extra cooler fitted.  Our caravan is a Lunar Ariva which is lightweight, about 960 kg.  It pulls that no probs at all. 

    You don't have a cooler or don't have an extra cooler? Auto gearbox fluid is very often piped up to run up the side of your main engine radiator (water/oil cooler) or a simple pipe that runs in front of it (air/oil cooler)

    PS Just looked in the manual for the previous Astra/Zafira 98/04 and that does have 'a cooler integral to the main radiator' Happy
