New clutch!
Just before Christmas the clutch on my 2005 Santa Fe decided it had had enough and gave up.
Took it to Mr Clutch in Tunbridge Wells and they were not just efficient (them, at 4.00pm, "when do you want it done", me "Tomorrow?", them, "OK, no problem"!) but even using OEM clutch it cost £450, including changing the gearbox oil.
I saw the original clutch and it was 80% worn, but the thrust bearing had collapsed.
Not too bad for 92,000 miles I guess, I could have done without spending that just before Christmas but you kow what? The Mr Clutch team made it so much more palatable.
Glad it was a 2005 model. The newer one is £1500 or so as it has a dual mass flywheel.
Had the cambelt done at 70k, I put new shocks & springs on it September time, and it is ready for another 100,000 miles I reckon!
Beats spending £10 to £15k on a replacement anyway.
