ts easy to do on the korando
you just hold the folding mirror button in for about 3 secs
til it beeps, to put it back on just hold it in for 3 secs again

Just remember to turn the automatic wing mirror folding off when you have the caravan mirrors on
That's the problem I have with my Merc ...... it's faster to remove them though rather than find the right menu to turn them off on the dash cluster, though I happened to discover that if I lock the car with the passenger door open, then the mirrors don't
fold.I always forget to turn the auto fold off, until they do.
But it is pretty straightforward and quick on the menus on my C-Class. It is the useless (slow) auto dip function that really bugs me.

I am thinking of getting a Korando to pull my Lunar Quaser 462 and when I read owners revues they all appear to be glowing. On one site the thread seemed to be "ignore the experts ". Are there no faults which would cause me to hesitate?

hi, we purchased a korando about 6 months ago, having towed with jeep cherokee, vw passatt and vauxhall insignia, WITHOUT AN SHADOW OF DOUBT the korando is the best car we have owned, it tows like a dream, we would definitly recommend it, and the sales team
where wonderful too and really know the product, hope this helps ,we are not worried about P/X prices as we would have another korando so do not think we would lose too much.0 -
Take into account the low cost to buy a Korando and depreciation is less of a worry,all cars depreciate.Our Korando tows as well as the Kuga we towed our Adria with up till March.

Hi,We have a three year old Korando SE was offered £7,500 last year to trade in for a new Korando,dealer seemed pleased to tell us we had only lost 48% in two years. We decided to keep her M.O.T. just done, new steering rack radius arm under warranty,at
48,000 miles bit of a shock but hey still have two years warranty left.Good cars.

48% is not too bad in fact not much more than depreciation on our last car a 2 1/2 year old Ford Kuga.We miss few gadgets from the Kuga ie auto boot open/close and keyless ignition but still love the Korando

Hi. I am relatviely new to the CC and this is my first post. I have spent most of the year looking at various tow cars before pretty much deciding on the new Korando (price was a major factor). My current setup is an old 56 plate 1.6HDi Xsara Picasso and
I tow an old 1994 Lunar Sunbeam which has an MTPLM of 1035 so a great match for the car. We want to get a newer van with a fixed island bed and looking around the weight would be around the 1400 mark so pretty much ideal for the Korando. What worries me is
the nose weight. I have read that it should be around 7% of the weight of the caravan, which is 98. This is way over the 80 max specified, which just happens to be the same as my Picasso and looking at other SUV's, ie the ix35, rav4, kia sportage they are
all the same. I run my setup just below the 80 noseweight without too much hassle and it is very stable but I am worried that I would end up having to shift weight more towards the back of the caravan, which is not ideal. Comments / advice greatly apreciated.

I guess I should have done a bit more research as it looks like the ideal figure is 5 - 7 % so that makes me fell better

I bought a Korando 2.2 4x4 SE September 2016. Glow plug warning light came on the dash, had to take it back to dealer, i asked why this has happened as the car is only 6 months old, service manager said the plugs are torqued too tight by manufacture but will not admit it.
I also asked about the problem when slowing down then calling for power but there is a delay, not good when towing, he replied, meaning Ssangyong i suppose they are aware of this, but never gave a solution. Then there's the radio, it keeps searching for stations even though the station is local, also the blue tooth is ify sometimes it picks up your phone other times it doesn't not good for hands free.

I am also looking at the Korando but in ELX format, currently have Hyundai ix35 Premium 4WD that has been 1st class so cautious about change of brand.
Price is some £8k less but SsangYong are obviously trying to build market share, remember Hyundai & Kia were low price a couple years ago .
I understand SsangYong UK are run by gentleman who set up Kia in UK.
