Leisuredrive - Great van pity about the company

We bought our first campervan recently. A 2007 Leisuredrive on a Ford Transit. I searched long and hard before finding the one! We're loving the van, it's the perfect layout for us, it's quite a rare model now and it's in great condition generally but I'm
working to bring it back to showroom condition.

The fit-out is good, really professional and well built. The finishing detail is a bit dissapointing and messy and there's some bits of the design that's really strange which I can't work out why they would ever have done it that way.

I contacted Leisuredrive shortly after buying the van. My accountant wanted to know the list price of the van. In a brief email I asked this question and enquired to whether I could buy a branded cab carpet set. I received nothing back from Leisuredrive.
After another week I resent the original email but this time direct and with a read receipt which confirmed they received it, again no reply!

A few days later still I sent an email to Leisuredrive enquiring about one of their advertised £30K conversions, strangely this time I got a reply!

Enough said!

It's not just the smaller converters that have some strange ways of finishing things. Go and have a look round some of the big names. If there is a difficult way of doing something they have found it. Even down to fitting pipes that it is impossible to get at without cutting the interior away.

Exactly those kind of things! It's a mix of not thinking and not caring. A result of 'that'll do' to get it done so they have a finished product to sell. I understand that it's a business but these vans are with us for a long time, things will break / need
replacing, we will need to access them!
