Dometic Fridge Internal Light Fault

Our motorhome has a Dometic fridge (Model RMS 8555) fitted with a 4 blue LED internal light cluster by the door catch. On a recent trip these lights started to dull and then stopped working. I've tested the light supply lead and there doesn't appear to be
any voltage at the connector. Although the connector is quite small and getting the meter probes in was fiddly. The fridge itself functions as it should. Thoughts anyone?

Is the switch stuck in?  Perhaps they have just failed and need renewing, I think they come as a unit. Check any fuses you have and maybe any batteries in the fridge itself if any.

    Wiring Diagram might help ..

If you look at the diagram the feed for the lights comes straight from the control box. Don't be fooled by the lack of voltage at the LED Lights they maybe being driven by a square wave. The idea being that they can control the illumination. It also gives you that slow start to the lights as you open the door. Only way to really see it there is a voltage is with an oscilloscope. You could of course check the switch or just short the contacts together on the control box.

you can operate the switch with something like a lolly stick and it may not be moving properly

also if there is a plug on connector at the rear of light condensation causes all sorts of missfunction to the door open alarm if you have one fitted
